George Slomp
Partner

George Slomp has been building since he was a boy on a farm in Rimbey, Alberta, building barns and making foundations. He funded his way through University framing houses and pouring concrete, then built a strawbale home in Rimbey, Alberta. In 2011 George and his wife and 3 children moved to Courtenay, BC. He eventually started his own company, Steadfast Carpentry. Peter and George merged their two companies in 2016 and became Perspective Design Build and hasn't looked back. George works hard and is easy to talk to. He is the guy who you'll hear whistling while he works.

Peter Bain
Partner

Peter Bain is passionate about creating beautiful and functional design. Born in Haida Gwaii, then to the North Island with his family, Peter spent much of his childhood observing and learning from nature and from his father - a forester. He studied mechanical engineering at BCIT and humanities at Langara College in Vancouver. During his First 10 years of Carpentry, he built architectural homes with a West Vancouver builder and in 2011 completed his red seal in Carpentry.  Comox Valley is now home, where Peter has embraced his finishing and cabinetry skills as PeterBain Carpentry,  In the last 4 years a  partnership with George Slomp has formed as Perspective Design LTD.  Peter works well with his clients in a creative process with attentive listening, problem solving, and patience - all of which are key attributes in building quality custom homes. 

The Team

Currently there are more than 16 employees working for Perspective Design Build. We have 5 Journeyman Carpenters, 5 Apprentices, 4 Laborers, a draftsperson, and an Admin Team. Most of our team are family people, and we pride ourselves on being a kind and good hearted crew.
